History:
This Pueblo is the story of one man's dream. To call him an architect would be too limiting: "designer", "visualiser", or "recreator" would be nearer.
Disillusioned - at times enraged - by the insensitive structure that have spoilt many a sunshine paradise, this one man dreamt of recreating the past, of building anew in a style that has evolved over the centuries through the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, Moors and early Christians.
His village was a typical Andalusian village. A pueblo of houses, apparently higgledy-piggeldy in their layout, yet in truth meticulously planned to provide an idyllic setting. An environment offering variety and originality, created with the help of modern technology.
Craftsmanship would be paramount. So, too, would local material and techniques: old clay roof tiles, richly stained timber, hand painted ceramics and cool marble.
This was the dream that inspired the Pueblo of today.
The development started in 1984 - and has continued ever since. The final phase has been finalized during 2003.
